Services

Shabbat

Our Friday night Kabbalat Shabbat  and Shabbat morning services are a wonderful way to connect to your Jewish soul, to our ancient and rich tradition, to the Jewish community and to God.

High Holidays

Beth Tikvah Synagogue, a warm, inclusive, egalitarian, and fully participatory independent congregation, offers a full schedule of High Holiday services .

Weekly Minyan

What is a community?  In part, it is being there for others at their time of need.  Helping to make a minyan, a quorum for a prayer service, enables an individual in a period of mourning to say the Kaddish, a prayer which requires a minyan.

Beth Tikvah has evening minyan on some Wednesdays at 5:45 PM during the school year to help us fulfill this mitzvah. Please contact Miri Sharon if you need a minyan to say kaddish or to find out if we are holding a minyan. Attending the minyan is an opportunity for all of us to support others in our community who wish to say Kaddish in memory of a lost loved one.

Please join us whenver you are able. The service takes about 10 minutes, and is time well spent.

Siddur Lev Shalem is Here!

Dedicate a New Siddur!

After a year long search, Beth Tikvah's ritual committee selected a new prayerbook, "Siddur Lev Shalem for Shabbat and Festivals". A goal of the committee was to make our warm and spiritual services even more welcoming. They selected a prayer book that maintains our traditions while providing contemporary language and transliteration. Everyone who who comes to Beth Tikvah will feel included as we pray together

You have the opportunity to dedicate one or more copies of this new siddur in honor of or in memory of anyone, or to commemorate a special occasion (birthday, anniversary, wedding, birth of a child or grandchild, etc.).  A bookplate will be placed in the front of each siddur with your name and message.  Your help is greatly appreciated to help cover the cost of these new siddurim.

The cost is $40 per book.  Please click here for an order form. Or use our on-line order form.
