BETH TIKVAH LEGACY PROGRAM
Legacy Overview
Beth Tikvah Synagogue has created a Legacy Program to facilitate after-lifetime giving at Beth Tikvah. We are partnered in this effort with the Jewish Federation of Central Massachusetts (JFCM), and the Harold Grinspoon Foundation’s LIFE AND LEGACY program.
The purpose of the program is to promote a culture of philanthropy in our community, and to establish a steady stream of income for the future of Beth Tikvah by building an endowment fund through legacy giving. The endowment fund is already in place, and managed by the JFCM.
We have an opportunity and a responsibility to secure the future of our Jewish community. All of us, regardless of age, wealth, or affiliation, have the ability to leave a legacy. Your legacy gift of any size can be customized and structured to fit your dreams, lifestyle, family, and financial needs. Leaving a legacy is simple. Some options include:
Bequest in a Will | Real Estate |
Gift of Life Insurance | Charitable Gift Annuity |
Gift of Retirement Assets/IRA | Charitable Trust |
The first step is signing a Letter Of Intent. This is simply a form that declares your intent to establish a legacy gift. You do not have to have your gift already set up. You do not have to specify an amount. You do not have to give any money now.
Once you have signed a Letter Of Intent, you become a member of the Beth Tikvah Legacy Society, a visionary group that is rapidly growing.
About a year after submitting your Letter of Intent, you will be asked to submit your Gift Confirmation Form. This is a formalization of your intent to establish a legacy gift. It is also an opportunity for you to consider again which organizations you wish to support with your legacy gift.
