Morah Lisa's Distance Learning Classroom 5780-5781

Welcome to our Distance Learning Hebrew School Site!

A bit about me: I attended Beth Tikvah Religious School as a child, became a Bat Mitzvah and was a madrich before becoming an educator here in 2005. I am a clinical social worker who works for Boston Children's Hospital and I am also an outpatient mental health therapist in a group practice in Framingham. I am passionate about the well being of children and their families. Together (even virtually) we will create a healthy classroom community that honors safety, respect, and responsibility.  My favorite color is green and I love my cat a whole lot. I look forward to meeting you!

Please look for an email from me to review specific class information and communication.

Each scheduled Sunday class I will meet with your child and their class for our “synchronous learning.” Synchronous learning is the kind of learning that happens in real time. I will be teaching our Kindergarten Class with Maddie Avergon, Third Grade Hebrew, as well as a Sixth Grade Ma la'asot (what would you do?) ethics class.

There will also be “asynchronous learning.” Asynchronous learning happens on your schedule. Each week you and your child will have access to additional enrichment to be done at your child's most comfortable pace.

You can also expect to receive a weekly email communication on Sunday. You will find our lessons on the Morah Lisa Blog and can always review a lesson should you miss one. You can reach me at morahlisa@bethtikvahsynagogue.org with any questions. I am looking forward to a great school year!

L’hitraot,

Morah Lisa

OUR VIRTUAL Gan/K and 1/2 HEBREW SCHOOL CLASSROOM

5779-5780

  • Each Saturday night I will send you (via email) a link to our morning meeting.

  • Our morning meetings will address the learning goals and objectives of the virtual classes.

  • Attached in the email (and on my blog page) you will find “at home learning menus.” You will have the opportunity to choose from activities on the menu to support the lessons throughout the weeks.

NOTE: You do not have to review/complete all of the at home learning menu items. This is a no pressure learning environment. Let your children choose their activities and share them with me to let me know how they’re going!

Please reach out via email at morahlisa@bethtikvahsynagogue.org with any questions. Please reach out via email to request a phone call and I will be sure to get back to you.
